On March 20, 2017, NJPW held Day 8 of its New Japan Cup 2017 tour in Nagaoka, Niigata, Japan at Aore Nagaoka. The event was broadcast on TV Asahi and attracted a crowd of 4,079. The card featured several matches, including the New Japan Cup Final Match between Katsuyori Shibata and Bad Luck Fale, as well as a Ten Man Tag Team Match featuring Los Ingobernables de Japon.
