The documentary "The Polish Girl" is the story of a famous painting involving two characters who have become a reference for the arts in Brazil. On one side, the muse portrayed on it: Hedwig Mizerkowski, a lady with over a hundred years old when the film was made, full of lucidity and a great love for life. On the other side, Guido Viaro, Italian painter based in Curitiba, which portrayed in a original way the people and the landscapes of Paraná. Among his numerous portraits, "The Polish Girl" is his undisputed masterpiece, and according with the most importante brazilian art critics, is the best portrait painted in the country in the 1930s.
