Little Yellow Spider is an intimate exploration of residual grief. Often, we emphasise the importance of grieving the loss of a loved one close to the point of impact. But what of grief after years, or decades? This film explores the intricacy of prolonged loss within the familial space. The widow, who never remarried, hangs out sheets from the marital bed on the clothesline. This act, which occurs in every domestic space without much consideration, becomes a signifier of her solitude and loss.
