The defining feature of the image is not expected to be 'that it makes a sound'; perhaps it sounds less strange to state or see that sounds imagine... Preverbal sensory interaction, the way in which sensations are formed, the process of perception as such, the ultra-fast channels of information (if we have to call them that) that we call instinct, unconscious or intuition intervene decisively in the construction-secretion of this frankly psychedelic object.
