The story follows the heroic spirit of five young men from the village who possess high character and very different personalities named Hamzah Hashim, Apot a/k Saad, Zabri Abd Hamid, Hasyim Jaabar and Ahmad WT. The five of them later answered the challenge to join a new unit in the country's defense in 1969 known as VAT 69. To join this elite unit, they are required to go through a very rigorous selection session. In each episode of the broadcast, the program will showcase the earnestness of these young men leaving their families in the village for the desire to serve the country.
