A little song for myself

A Little Song for Myself explores orphanhood, memory, and the idea of a home one can no longer return to. The work is built around archival family photographs and a letter from my mother. The camera lingers on them with patience and attention, inviting the viewer to look closely at every crack, crease, fold, and trace left by time. On one level, this is a deeply personal story. My father died in 2022, and my mother in 2023. Yet on another level, it no longer matters who the people in these photographs are. They become vessels for memory itself. I hope each viewer will recognize something of their own past in these images, and that, somewhere within them, a little song will begin to play.
