The patron saint festival begins. Oliver, a young boy, dreams of taking part in the dance just as his father once did. An accident confronts him with loss, and when his mother forbids him from participating, Oliver dances while listening to the music; he discovers that the dance keeps his father alive and strengthens the bond with his heritage.
