A German soldier during the Second World War served on the Russian front. He held onto his camera and took a huge number of pictures, and then took them out of Russia with his diary, in which he wrote down everything that happened to him. After the war, the former soldier found himself in the GDR, joined the party, became a member of the Soviet-German friendship society.
