The Power of Placebo

By now the placebo effect is a relatively well-known phenomenon, yet it's possible we haven't even begun to explore the full extent of its capabilities. This short examines the use of a placebo in three different contexts: the performance of the Dutch Olympic cycling team, the mobility of a man suffering from Parkinson's disease and a woman undergoing spine surgery.
