Humera is a pre-teen girl from a rural village off the coast of Karachi, Pakistan. She dreams of not only finishing school but becoming a doctor. She considers marriage "a destruction" that would take away the liberties she enjoys. But with her school under threat of closure, and her mother needing to ensure the future of the family, Humera finds herself quietly fighting for her dream.
